Single Flag : 30 Minutes
Purpose is to get to the opponents end of the field, find the flag station they are using, get their flag and return it to your teams flag station. Flag must be visible and in one hand or other. If you are eliminated while carrying flag, call "OUT", put your barrel plug in, put your gun on ground, hold flag up in air. You are the New Flag Station. Any other player can take the flag from you. Once flag is taken from you, leave the field. If opponents flag is returned to your flag station, hold onto your station and the flag and call "Paint Check" to summon a referee, after he confirms the flag, he will end the game with an air horn. Any player recapturing their teams flag must return it immediately to the flag station it started out on and rehang it.

Center Flag : 30 Minutes
Purpose and operation is the same as Single Flag except each team has two(2) flags. Both flags have to be captured and returned to your end of the field. They can be taken to either of your teams flag stations, but they both have to go the same flag station.
Sniper : 30 Minutes
Teams are divided into 2 to 1 ratio. The smaller team are the Snipers. Purpose of Team One(larger team) is to get to Snipers end of the field, capture their flag and return it to their end to either flag station, and tag the station as in other games. Purpose of Snipers is to protect their teams flag, and if it is captured to recapture it and return it to the flag station it started on or simply keep it from getting to the other end of the field. If Team One(larger team) does not capture and return the flag to their flag station, the Snipers Win.

Scenarios :- Our scenario games zones are varied in the way they play out. Something that we have over 16 years experience in being the third ever paintball site in the UK. Each game and every game has been worked and reworked by our site crew to provide the maximum playability possible.
Have Fun & be a hero :- From your base camp, your mission is to find the opposition and eliminate then - but where are they? Armed to the teath, you & your team of trained paintball soldiers will need to use your cunning and your wits to find and outsmart your opponents.
Winning a single paintball battle is not enough if you want to dominate the campaign.
The next game may prove too much for your troops as the enemy advance without warning. It's your job as captain to push your team forward to your opponant's base camp, to finally capture the flag, return it to your base, avoid enemy sniper fire and claim your victory!

What is the point of the game?
In the traditional Paintball game of capture the flag, players are split into two teams who each start at opposite ends of the playing area. Each team has a base which has a 'steal' flag. The objective is to get to the opposing teams base and steal their flag(which is why we call it a steal flag), and return it to their own base. The team that manages to get this right is the winning team.

About Paintball & How to play the basic 'Capture the Flag' game
In 15 short years, the sport of paintball has become recognized as one of the world's most exciting outdoor participation sports. Paintball is played in over 40 countries by millions of men and women of all ages and lifestyles. Whether homemakers or high-school students, professionals or retirees, all paintball players share in common a love for adventure and a strong competitive spirit.
Paintball is a combination of the childhood games "tag" and "hide & seek," but is much more challenging and sophisticated. Although there are many different game formats, typically a group of players will divide into two teams to play "capture the flag." The number of players on each team can vary from one or two, five or seven or ten, to over 1,000 on a side, limited only by the size of the playing field.
The object of the game is to go out and capture the other team's flag while protecting your own. While you are trying to capture a flag, you also try to eliminate opposing players by tagging them with a paintball expelled from a special airgun called a "paintgun." Games run from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the field and the number of players.
Between games, players take a break to check their equipment, get more paintballs and have a snack or soda while they share stories about the thrills of victory and the usually funny agonies of defeat. Win or lose, everyone has a good time and there's usually the next game waiting for you.

Rules
These are the safety rules and game formats as used at Essex Paintball Paintball.
Paintball is an Extreme sport, and as such certain safety rules have to apply. You will notice that there are only 5 safety rules, but we take them very seriously. The only other 'rule' is that you have fun. Before each game session the Chief Marshal holds a safety briefing where he will go through the rules with all players to ensure that they are understood.
How do you know when you are out?
Not as easy a question as you would imagine. Simply being hit by a paintball is not enough, These conditions have to apply. A paintball has to hit you and break. A ball that bounces off you does not count unless you call yourself out before you check. You cannot call yourself out and then back in. This creates confusion and can lead to people throwing large inanimate objects at you. A hit above the level of the chin ( head shot) does not count. Unless you call yourself out etc A Paintball that hits a tree and 'splatters' on you does not count. A shot on the gun does not count. So simply put any pellet that hits your body and breaks is a hit and you are out.

What if I'm shot at the start of the game?
Don't worry we play a rule called the tag rule. This works as follows If you are out, hold your gun above your head so the other players know that you are eliminated and don't keep shooting you. Call for a 'tag' from one of your own team. ( If someone on the other team comes to tag you don't stop them, it means they did not listen at the safety briefing and deserve to suffer)
One of your team mates must then touch or 'tag' you to bring you back alive. This is where the guy who didn't listen at the safety lecture starts to suffer as you light him up. While waiting for a tag you may not give major field briefings to your team mates, you may only call for a tag.
Giving a run down on the oppositions field positions while you are waiting for a tag can also result in inanimate objects doing their airplane imitations as they are thrown at you. If you are waiting for a tag and the opposition shoot you again for the fun of it, then you are also back in the game. A member of your own team may not shoot you back alive.
