Q: What is the minimum number of juniors I have to bring. A: On weekends there is no minimum number requirement whatsoever. You are free to bring yourself and a friend or a group of 150, assuming we have the space and you book early enough. Q: What is the minimum junior group size on weekdays? A: We stipulate a minimum group size of 30 people if you opt for the STANDARD UNDER 16's PACKAGE at £35.00.

What they'll do on their paintball day

Young Gunz days are held on the second week of every month. The games are played with two teams firing non-staining, biodegradable paint balls, which burst on impact. When you're hit, you're eliminated from that game. The games played vary from conquer the enemy HQ to seek & find, from the flag game to hold the fort. Throughout the whole day our trained marshals will adjudicate and ensure you play safely at all times. Paint ball, like any other extreme sport, has safety concerns which are fully addressed by Essex Paintball Games. All of our marshals are trained in first aid. At the start of the day, safety procedures will be explained, with a demonstration of what a paint ball is capable of doing. Throughout the day, the marshals ensure that safety regulations are adhered to and that all players are wearing a face mask whilst in the vicinity of the paint guns. We supply all the equipment needed. Semiautomatic guns, CO2 gas and a full face mask with neck and ear protection and full coveralls. Lunch and refreshments are also included so all you have to pay for is the initial paintball package. We understand that parents don't want to be faced with a huge paintball bill at the end of the session which is why we always ask for at least one adult/parent to remain with the group for the duration of the day. The appointed guardian is responsible for the welfare of the children outside of the game zones as well as management of the children's paint usage and extra funds (if any).

Tips on organising a kids Paintball day

Our young gunz paintball package comes with 500 rounds which is usually an adequate amount of paintballs if used wisely. Can you imagine a bunch of excited wide-eyed kids using their share of paintball rounds wisely? Maybe not...... In a perfect world, it would be nice to think that they all use the same amount of paint throughout the day. The reality is that without prior planning, some may come with pocket money to buy more rounds and others will not. The result is that a few of the kids will feel that they are not having as much fun as every one else because they are on a very limited budget or have used their 500 rounds whilst, 'laying down cover fire', during the first game. When they're having this much fun they'll give any excuse in order to get someone to buy another much needed ammo pack. The answer is for the organiser to hold the purse for all the kids and share the rounds out fairly. The alternative is to ask the children not to bring extra money on the day. Each option still requires that the organiser keeps tight control on the amount of rounds used by each child on each and every game. A typical amount might be 80 rounds per game or (500 rounds over 8 games). If you are organising a day trip for the kids and their friends, ask their parents to allow a maximum of either £7 or £14 for and extra 100 or 200 rounds respectively. This means that you can increase the amount of rounds they take out on each game by 12 or 24 respectively. You the organiser will hold the money on their behalf and will purchase & allocate the rounds to each child between each game. That way everyone gets the same, parents don't get a surprise bill and everyone is happy.
